Gain better understanding of how dry
gas seals work and ensure maintenance free dry gas seal operation for a minimum
of 5 years.
The
uses of dry gas seals in process gas centrifugal compressors had increased
dramatically over the last twenty years, replacing traditional oil fill seals.
Over 80% of centrifugal gas compressors manufactured today are equipped with
dry gas seals and also used in screw compressors, gear compressors and
expanders. There are CO2 and Ethane pump applications where dry gas seals have
been used and some special applications where they have been applied such as
cement kilns.
However,
contamination is the leading cause of dry gas seal degradation and reduced
reliability.
This 5-days
course presented by Petro1 is designed to provide participants with a
better understanding of the important features in a gas seal, so they can
better understand why they may want to choose one seal over another. They will
also learn what is required in a support system to ensure the reliability of
dry gas seals.
